Hans Soto – Class of ’18.

Commander Hans Soto, a name etched in the annals of space exploration, hails from the vibrant city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. At the tender age of 25, he made history as the youngest ever to achieve the prestigious position of Commander, 1st rank.

Soto’s journey to the stars began at Gulf Coast University, where his exceptional intellect and dedication to academics earned him the title of valedictorian. With a 3.68 GPA in Diamond Science, Soto’s brilliance was evident. But it wasn’t just his scholarly pursuits that set him apart; his passion for dance and love for his three pet woodchucks, Manny, Moe, and Jack, revealed a multifaceted personality.

Following his time in Hagerstown, MD, where he honed his skills at the National Astronaut Training School, Soto was sent to San Diego for advanced flight training. His exceptional abilities propelled him through the ranks, culminating in his historic appointment as Commander.

Soto’s story is one of unwavering ambition, exceptional talent, and a zest for life. His legacy continues to inspire aspiring astronauts and young dreamers across the globe, proving that with hard work, dedication, and a touch of whimsy, anything is possible.
